We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Contract Scotland. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and delivering high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and work schedules.
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs.
- Negotiate and procure materials, subcontractors, and labor.
- Monitor project progress and report on costs and budgets.
- Manage and mitigate risks associated with maintenance contracts.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports, valuations, and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Handle contract administration, including claims and disputes resolution.
- Advise on contractual matters and commercial risks.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quantity surveying, ideally with a focus on maintenance contracts.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using industry-related software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Valid UK driving license.
