About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Nurse to join our Oncology team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and effective care to patients in the outpatient setting, delivering systemic anti-cancer therapies.
- Work as part of a specialist team of nurses to provide care to patients with different types of cancers.
- Administer chemotherapy and other treatments, as well as provide supportive therapies such as blood transfusions and electrolyte replacements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
Requirements
- 6-12 months post-registration experience as a Staff Nurse.
- NMC registration.
- IV competent and able to perform cannulation and venepuncture.
- Desirable: SACT qualification, post-graduate oncology course, and experience working in oncology.
