The Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Certification Design Engineer to join our client's team on a permanent basis.

The Key Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to the completion of design and development projects in line with the approved stage gate process.
  2. Develop innovative solutions to improve the design of existing products from briefs provided.
  3. Prepare technical drawings using 3D CAD modelling and 2D drawing software.
  4. Modify drawings and components when required, in line with QA systems and procedures.
  5. Generate and maintain parts lists/bill of materials and control approved copies in line with QA procedures.
  6. Liaise with certification bodies to supply requested approval drawings in a timely manner.
  7. Have a working knowledge of relevant European and International standards and Directives.
  8. Conduct prototype and/or modified component testing and maintain the production and correct storage of test reports.
  9. Provide technical assistance to the Sales department or directly to customers in terms of product information, problem solving, and application training.
  10. Maintain good communications between departments of the client.
  11. Be familiar with QA systems operated within the client.
  12. Carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected.
  13. Report on hazards or near misses that could impact on self and others.
  14. Demonstrate a positive approach to HS&E through good working practices, housekeeping, and correct use of PPE.
  15. Adhere to risk assessments, policies, and procedures.
  16. Participate positively in HS&E training.
  17. Only undertake health and safety tasks for which they have been suitably trained.
  18. Take responsibility for appropriate checks of own work environment, machines, or equipment.
  19. Take accountability for own health and safety and for those around them.
  20. Keep self-updated with health and safety communication initiatives from the company and apply learnings.
  21. When interacting with visitors and contractors, take responsibility for their health and safety on site.
