Position Summary:Carbon Direct stands at the forefront of climate advisory services, dedicated to expediting the shift towards a low-carbon economy. We offer expert guidance, innovative solutions, and strategic support to organizations focused on minimizing their carbon impact and fulfilling sustainability ambitions. We are in search of a driven and seasoned professional to join our team and oversee the execution of a diverse array of intricate, multi-stakeholder carbon management initiatives. In this capacity, you will primarily be accountable for ensuring the successful delivery of proposals and technical engagements.
Core Responsibilities:
- Consult and advise clients on carbon management and sustainability initiatives, taking into account their specific business goals, industry regulations, and market conditions.
- Lead workstreams or sub-projects to implement net-zero strategies for complex global clients.
- Assist the team in executing various carbon management projects, including greenhouse gas emissions assessment and target-setting.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to synchronize project objectives and timelines.
- Formulate and execute project plans, monitor progress, and guarantee timely achievement of milestones.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership regarding project status and outcomes.
- Prepare and present high-quality reports, presentations, and technical documents that effectively convey complex scientific concepts.
- Collaborate with Carbon Direct's Client Engagement Managers to bolster business development initiatives.
- Generate insights on policy and conduct market analysis.
- Utilize expertise in decarbonization to model climate transitions for clients.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in climate technologies and sustainable practices.
- Participate in industry conferences to expand your network and stay updated.
Qualifications:
- Professional experience in sustainability consulting or a related domain.
- A Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific field, or a Bachelor's degree with comparable additional experience.
- Extensive experience in creating executive-level presentations and briefing materials.
- Strong grasp of sustainability frameworks and environmental regulations.
- Ability to conduct macroeconomic evaluations of climate technologies.
- Proven track record of developing effective sustainability strategies for a diverse clientele.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong project management skills.
Compensation:
£67,000-£121,000
