Charles Levick Limited is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Derivatives Base Metals Trader to spearhead the creation and development of their metals trading desk. This is a unique opportunity to be a key player in shaping the future of a high-impact, high-reward trading operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive trading strategy to drive profitability and growth.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of traders and analysts to support the metals trading desk.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key market participants, including brokers, exchanges, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, news, and data to identify trading opportunities and optimize risk management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other business units and functions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in derivatives base metals trading, with a proven track record of profitability and strategic insight.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and scale a trading desk, with strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • In-depth understanding of the base metals market, including key drivers, trends, and regulatory considerations.
  • Sharp analytical mind with the ability to process complex data and make informed trading decisions under pressure.
  • Strong risk management ethos with experience in developing and enforcing trading risk parameters.
