About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Team Manager to join our team at Octavia. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading and supervising our care staff to deliver high-quality care and support services to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Supervision
- Lead and supervise care staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support services
- Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our residents
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and support services
- Resident Care and Support
- Ensure that residents receive person-centered care and support that meets their individual needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders
- Ensure that residents are treated with dignity and respect
- Staff Management
- Recruit, train, and develop care staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care and support services
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed
- Ensure that staff are aware of and comply with all relevant policies and procedures
- Quality Assurance
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure that care and support services meet the highest standards
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and support services
- Identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed
- Communication and Collaboration
- Develop and maintain relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders
- Communicate effectively with care staff, management, and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that care and support services are integrated with other services
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A track record of delivering high-quality care and support services
- Experience of leading and supervising care staff
- Knowledge of care and support policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
Qualifications and Skills
You will need:
- A good standard of general education, including GCSEs in Maths and English
- A QCF Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- An NVQ / QCF Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or will work towards this qualification within 18 months of starting)
- Ability to undertake manual handling tasks
