Maintenance Engineer | Engineering | Full Time 37.5 hours per week, Permanent

Spire Little Aston Hospital is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their established team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Engineering Manager to provide a comprehensive engineering and maintenance service within the hospital, ensuring a safe environment for all patients, visitors, staff, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake maintenance and testing of plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with current HTM recommendations and PPM schedules.
  • Receive, review, and prioritize maintenance requests from departments, maintaining records of work undertaken on the CMMS.
  • Act as the site Authorising Person for the management of low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Assist the Engineering Services Manager in managing external contractors providing specialist services to the building and building services.
  • Provide in-house day-to-day maintenance services and out-of-hours emergency on-call support.
  • Collaborate with the department to implement the PPM schedule, ensuring compliance with Spire standards.
Requirements:
  • Served a recognized apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with a C&G qualification in the relevant field.
  • Significant experience in building services management with a track record of success.
  • Able to support hospital compliance with changing legislation.
