We are excited to present an opportunity for a Manager of Commercial to join our dedicated Storm Overflow Alliance team. This role is crucial in ensuring we deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Work Environment:

This position is based in Buttershaw, Bradford, with a hybrid working model requiring 1 day in the office per week.

Role Responsibilities:

The Manager of Commercial will provide strategic commercial leadership for the Storm Overflow Programme. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and leading a high-performing commercial team
  • Collaborating with the Storm Overflow Alliance and Supply Chain Partners to create and implement a cohesive commercial strategy
  • Influencing key stakeholders, including the Yorkshire Water Board and Executive Team
  • Fostering a collaborative commercial culture to enhance value delivery
  • Overseeing procurement and contract strategies for the Storm Overflow Programme

Key Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Significant experience in commercial management within collaborative environments
  • Expertise in the water, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts and contract management practices

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:

  • A professional designation such as Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS or MCICES)
  • Experience in Alliance or Collaborative Enterprise frameworks
  • Leadership experience in large-scale change initiatives
