We are seeking a motivated and experienced Income Team Manager - Local Operations to join our Housing Income Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of income and welfare services to our residents.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of dedicated professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster individual growth and team success.
  • Oversee the performance of the Income Team, ensuring that key performance indicators are met and all accounts are effectively managed.
  • Coordinate workload distribution and schedule customer visits for the team, optimizing efficiency and service delivery.
  • Conduct audits and compliance checks to maintain high standards and adherence to regulations.
  • Proactively address customer complaints and resolve complex queries, striving for exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Review arrears cases and make informed decisions regarding legal actions, such as Notices of Seeking Possession (NOSPS), court proceedings, and eviction processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including local income advisory services and internal housing teams, to ensure seamless service delivery.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with colleagues, residents, and external partners.
  • Proven experience in debt collection and a comprehensive understanding of relevant regulations, legislation, and welfare benefits.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and exceeding resident expectations.
  • Experience in coaching, developing, managing, and motivating staff members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to effectively address complex situations.
