About the Role

A leading global FMCG company is seeking a highly experienced Logistics and Procurement professional to join their award-winning procurement function. This prestigious organization has maintained its position at the forefront of the market through ongoing transformation and innovation, with a focus on driving strategic procurement objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the performance of business-critical logistics accounts, delivering value in key focus areas such as commercial, sustainability, and digital. This will involve managing a broad variety of dynamic subcategories, including fleet, freight, road transport, haulage, warehousing, 3PL, distribution, and automation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective category strategies to drive value and improve logistics performance.
  2. Manage large logistics spend, contract management, stakeholder management, and commercial management.
  3. Collaborate with c-suite senior leaders to drive strategic procurement objectives and improve logistics operations.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and internal teams.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent qualification, with CIPS or MCIPS certification. They will also have significant experience in logistics procurement, with a strong background in managing large logistics spend, contract management, stakeholder management, and commercial management. Additionally, they will have excellent commercial acumen, strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
