Position Overview:

As a vital member of the stores department, you will play a key role in managing inventory effectively. Your focus will be on ensuring strict adherence to quality control standards to achieve zero defects in all products.

Your responsibilities will include the prompt and precise booking of goods into the ERP system, maintaining accurate stock levels, and ensuring items are stored correctly to minimize discrepancies and defects, in line with established internal protocols.

You will oversee stock management to guarantee that all items are accounted for and that stock accuracy is upheld.

Additionally, you will be responsible for picking items for production areas and dispatching goods as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and record all incoming goods against supplier delivery notes, ensuring proper placement in designated locations.
  • Prepare goods for storage according to established standards.
  • Input received items into the computer system against the relevant purchase orders.
  • Process customer returns efficiently and within service level agreements.
  • Immediately inform the Purchasing department of any short deliveries.
  • Report quality issues through the designated quality control system.
  • Conduct stock takes according to the planned schedule.
  • Update stock figures in the system regularly.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in stock levels.
  • Escalate significant discrepancies as necessary.
  • Review and enhance stock control processes periodically.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience in warehouse and stock management is essential.

A forklift license is advantageous but not mandatory.

Proficiency in MS Office is required.

Familiarity with warehouse management systems is beneficial.
