Lead Chassis Engineer

Contechs is seeking a highly skilled Lead Chassis Engineer to join our client's expanding team on a Contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and reviewing concept and production-level design, both internally and externally.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of quality components and systems for new class-leading motorcycles.
  • Successfully communicate and work with key internal departments and external service providers and suppliers to ensure quality design and feasibility.
  • Ensure application of relevant industry standards and benchmark learning.
  • Develop commodity delivery plans, and drive delivery to plan.
  • Approving concept and detail CAD designs and drawings.
  • Attending and inputting into engineering reviews and discussions.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support supplier development and product testing.

Qualifications / Skills Required:

  • Understand engineering fundamentals in the design and development of components and assemblies.
  • Risk identification and mitigation.
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree with a grade of 2:1 or above.
  • Practical hands-on engineering and mechanical experience.
  • CREO experience is preferred.
  • An understanding of motorcycle chassis design and its interaction with powertrain and electronics is essential for this role.
  • A minimum of 6 years within a motorcycle engineering background.
