Job Title: Air Conditioning Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Engineer to join our Facilities Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of air conditioning systems across the campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair:
    • Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance.
    • Diagnose and repair faults in HVAC systems, including air handling units, chillers, and split systems.
    • Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize system downtime and reduce repair costs.
  • Installation:
    • Install new air conditioning systems and components according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
    • Upgrade and retrofit existing systems to improve efficiency and performance.
  • System Monitoring:
    • Monitor system performance and environmental conditions using building management systems (BMS).
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other facilities management staff to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption.
    • Assist in the development of maintenance schedules and budgets.

Requirements:

  • Education and Certification:
    • A relevant technical qualification in air conditioning or HVAC (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, City & Guilds).
    • Experience with a variety of air conditioning systems, including VRF/VRV, split systems, and chillers.
