The Master Data Manager will be responsible for the management of Burberry's master data assets, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all systems.

This role involves establishing data management strategies, standards, and policies to ensure data quality and compliance.

The Master Data Manager will closely collaborate with various business units to define data processes and work closely with IT to implement master data solutions.

This position is crucial for maintaining high-quality master data, which is foundational for reliable business intelligence, analytics, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Pro-actively managing and coordinating a team of data analysts to ensure agreed master data is maintained and available to the business in a timely manner and to agreed quality levels.
  • Overseeing the creation, maintenance, and validation of master data in SAP.
  • Developing and implementing policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance.
  • Conducting regular data audits and implementing corrective actions to ensure agreed data compliance and security considerations are executed in the data creation and maintenance processes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and ensure the integrity and accuracy of master data.
  • Monitoring and managing data-related issues, analyzing and reporting on master data metrics on a regular basis.
  • Leading and participating in master data management projects and initiatives, including system upgrades, change requests, and process improvements.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a data operations management role, driving process efficiency and data quality/standards. Previous experience with PLM, SAP, and/or other central data systems is desirable.

The Master Data Manager will be responsible for managing large sets of data, identifying and fixing errors, and quickly manipulating data to prepare reports as needed in an environment with large data sets.
