Job Title: Psychology Graduate - SEND Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Full-time, Contract

Location: Newham

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Psychology Graduate to join our team as a SEND Teaching Assistant. As a Psychology Graduate, you will have the opportunity to work closely with students with varying Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and contribute to their personal and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with class teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans for students with SEND.
  • Lead 1:1 and group intervention sessions to promote personal and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with therapists, psychologists, and SENCO to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive approach to education.
  • Provide support and guidance to students with SEND, promoting independence and self-confidence.

Requirements:

  • Hold a 1st or 2:1 in Psychology.
  • Be a driven and hard-working individual who can work well within a team.
  • Maintain a calm, understanding, and thoughtful approach when working with students.
  • Previous experience working alongside SEND is desirable.
