About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a SEND school in Witham. As a Learning Support Assistant with a sports background, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a variety of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and PMLD.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs in a classroom setting
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and implementation
  • Provide individualized support to students with varying levels of need
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and training in supporting students with special educational needs
  • Experience working with students with ASD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and PMLD
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for supporting students with special educational needs
