  • Commodity PSW delivery aligned with programme timelines.
  • Utilize recognized problem-solving techniques and the Automated Issue Management system (AIMS) for effective resolution in accordance with programme metrics.

Core Responsibilities

  • Execute the commodity plan ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness, including maintaining the Worldwide Engineering Release System (via PACN/iCreate or directly).
  • Own and manage the Engineering Advanced Product Quality Planning deliverables.
  • Oversee Change Requests, expenditure forecasting, and coordinate with relevant supplier teams to achieve programme milestones.
  • Manage design verification test plans, including meticulous planning of testing and development phases leading to sign off, while assisting Engineering test teams in issue resolution.
  • Contribute to the development of new features.
  • Ensure all design solutions comply with:
  1. Cost and weight targets
  2. Legal regulations and Requirements Management & Design Verification documentation
  3. Optical Quality and Premium Consumer Product Audit standards
  • Maintain up-to-date Module documentation, including:
  1. Meeting minutes
  2. Foundation and Programme Design analysis documents
  3. Quality history and bill of design
  4. RMDV
  5. Commodity plan
  6. EBER
  • Perform any additional tasks as directed by the line manager relevant to the role.

Key Interactions

Collaboration with Lead & CAD Engineers (cross-functional), External Suppliers, Design teams, Vehicle Package teams, Pilot Plant and Production Manufacturing Engineers, Module Leaders, Agile teams, Group Leaders, Senior Buyers, Supplier Technical Assurance, Marketing, Finance, Material Planning & Logistics, Attribute Teams (PAT Leaders), Test Engineers, Plant launch teams, and Product coaches.
