HGV Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of heavy goods vehicles. The successful candidate will have a passion for mechanics and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet safety standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HGVs, using technical knowledge and experience to identify and resolve problems.
  • Work with the maintenance team to plan and prioritize maintenance tasks, ensuring that all vehicles are serviced and repaired in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and logistics, to ensure that HGVs are available for use when needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technical developments and advancements in HGV maintenance and repair, attending training sessions and workshops as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills, including diagnostic and repair techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, such as lifting and bending, in a fast-paced environment.
