Caretaker - Parks Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team at Reed as a Caretaker - Parks Manager. This is a key role that requires someone to oversee the site maintenance programme, arrange and manage external contractors, and provide exceptional customer service to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive site maintenance programme to ensure the site is well-maintained and meets the required standards.
  • Manage and coordinate external contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Act as the first point of contact for residents, providing a high level of customer service and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Hold regular meetings with Resident Associations to ensure open communication and address any concerns.
  • Manage and supervise park wardens to ensure they are performing their duties effectively.
  • Arrange periodic health and safety testing to ensure the site meets the required standards.
  • Liaise with Local Authority site licencing to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Manage and respond to incoming correspondence from residents, ensuring all issues are addressed promptly.
  • Develop a deep understanding of legislation and processes relevant to the Company, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Provide regular reports to management, highlighting key issues and suggesting improvements.

Attributes & Experience:

  • Commercially aware and able to make informed decisions.
  • Able to communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
  • Confident in face-to-face situations and able to build strong relationships with residents and colleagues.
  • Proven experience of problem-solving and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Professional and well-presented, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in facilities management is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Experience within the housing sector is also highly desirable, but not essential.
