CAIS is a leading provider of access to alternative investments and structured notes for independent advisors, asset managers, and bank issuers. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic technology team.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing and maintaining the robust data infrastructure that powers our platform. You'll be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring efficient data flow and processing across various systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain server-side applications using Kotlin and Python.
  • Implement robust CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub and ArgoCD to ensure seamless software delivery.
  • Design and manage sophisticated data pipelines with Airflow, orchestrating the movement and transformation of data effectively.
  • Deploy applications to Kubernetes on AWS, leveraging containerization technologies for scalability and resilience.
  • Collaborate closely with agile development teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong foundation in Java or Kotlin.
  • Proficiency in Python packaging and deployment practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Airflow and data pipeline design.
  • Familiarity with Big Data tools such as Snowflake, BigQuery, and Spark.

Highly Advantageous Skills:

  • Experience with FiveTran for seamless data integration.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and techniques.
  • Skills in TypeScript and React for front-end development.
  • Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Terraform for cloud infrastructure management.
