Position Summary
We are looking to recruit a Consultant or Senior Consultant with expertise in waste facility development and permitting. Ayesa is an award-winning international engineering firm, and you will collaborate with a successful team to prepare regulatory submissions that support the establishment of significant waste management facilities, including treatment plants, energy-from-waste (EfW) facilities, and landfills. Your responsibilities will include drafting Environmental Permits and planning applications, along with the technical documentation required to support these submissions. Depending on your skills, experience, and interests, you will have opportunities to engage in a diverse range of related technical, scientific, and engineering topics, including environmental impact assessments, risk evaluations, technical design, civil contract management, site investigations, and contaminated land assessments.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to effectively communicate with our clients and regulatory bodies. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a comprehensive and current understanding of the relevant regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications
This role is multidisciplinary, and we welcome candidates from various technical backgrounds; however, preference will be given to those with experience in hydrogeology, environmental chemistry, and related fields.
Applicants should possess a relevant undergraduate degree and ideally a postgraduate qualification in a pertinent scientific discipline, with preference for those holding a qualification in a hydrogeology-related area. Chartered status and/or membership in a relevant scientific or engineering professional organization would be advantageous.
