Job Description

Due to continued growth, a Bench Service Engineer (Electricals) is required to work for Adv Technical, a UK owned and operated organisation. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that products are tested and achieve compliance in all areas of relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all products meet with EU and International Standards (ASTM, EN, IEC, and CSA).
  • Manage the quality and safety approval for the entire range (including bespoke products).
  • Work closely with vendors and Far East suppliers and test houses to ensure product ranges meet European and International Standards.
  • Oversee the ISO policy and procedures.
  • Manage product testing in the UK through external test houses and internal product testing.
  • Implement, develop, and manage the Company's Internal Quality System in line with business goals ensuring compliance with all relevant EU Directives and Standards.

Requirements:

  • Sound technical knowledge of products supplied – Electrical.
  • Understanding of BS requirements concerning testing and packaging labelling.
  • Confident in dealing with serious issues in a professional manner, responding on behalf of the company supplying correspondence, producing evidence of compliance, etc.
  • Experience of Product Assessment/Evaluation.
  • Methodical and organised.
  • Attention to detail.
