Senior Service Manager - Transport
Position Overview:
About the Role
At Hammersmith & Fulham, we are dedicated to transforming our council to create an inclusive environment for all. Within the Environment Department, we provide a diverse array of services aimed at enhancing the borough's appeal, ensuring it remains safe, clean, and environmentally friendly, fostering pride among our residents.
We are in search of a seasoned transport expert to join our Transport Department and oversee a multidisciplinary team of specialists across various services. As a key member of the senior management team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues from Environment, Public Realm, Capital Projects, Highways, Parking, and the Economy departments, as well as other directorates within the council.
As the hub for knowledge and innovation in the Environment sector, you will identify opportunities for pilot initiatives and lead efforts to fulfill the Council's priorities while ensuring effective governance, monitoring, quality assurance, and successful delivery. The team will focus on aligning priorities and fostering long-term partnerships with strategic allies and key stakeholders to realize the Council's ambitions and goals.
This role presents a unique opportunity to influence the transport, public realm, and climate change agendas. It is an exciting chance to shape future priorities for infrastructure and place through policy development, project conception, and the sponsorship of major scheme delivery within a multidisciplinary and challenging environment.
