Job Description

Salary: £140,000 - £150,000 per year

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Cybersecurity to lead our security function and ensure the protection of our customers' data. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our security strategy, managing our security budget, and leading a team of security professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Security Strategy: Develop a comprehensive security strategy that aligns with our business objectives and ensures the protection of our customers' data.
  • Manage Security Budget: Manage our security budget and ensure that we have the necessary resources to implement our security strategy.
  • Lead Security Team: Lead a team of security professionals and provide guidance and support to ensure that they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties.
  • Partner with IT and Engineering Teams: Partner with our IT and engineering teams to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of our business.
  • Report on Security Status: Provide regular reporting on the current status of our security posture and emerging threats.
  • Implement Secure-by-Design Principles: Implement secure-by-design principles to ensure that our products and services are secure by design.
  • Develop Positive Security Culture: Develop a positive security culture throughout the organization and ensure that all employees understand the importance of security.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Qualification: A relevant qualification in computer science, information security, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership or director role leading information security teams.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, leadership skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Compliance Frameworks: Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements, including NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC2.
