In alignment with our strategic expansion goals, we are seeking skilled and enthusiastic software engineers to become integral members of our newly established Software Platform Team. This team will be tasked with the design, development, and upkeep of our essential software infrastructure that underpins our extensive array of aerospace and defence systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Engage in all facets of our software platform development, from outlining and delivering requirements and features to implementing best practices and standards for software development, testing, and documentation.Oversee and support the daily development tools that software developers rely on, including quality assurance tools and server resource management, while providing support and best practice guides for users.Leverage contemporary tools and technologies, such as cloud computing, microservices, DevOps, and agile methodologies, to establish and maintain the software platform that empowers our software development teams to execute a diverse range of projects and programs. You will troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges to ensure the software platform and development tools maintain high quality, reliability, and performance.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with containerization, microservices, cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps methodologies.Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and other scripting languages.Expertise in application administration, including managing configurations, workflows, permissions, and integrations.Knowledge of server management, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting across various operating systems.Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, focusing on improvement through automation and monitoring.Understanding of cybersecurity principles and techniques for securing software platforms and services.Experience with data visualization tools to effectively communicate analysis results and insights to stakeholders.Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation, user guides, API documentation, and specifications.

Preferred Skills:

Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to navigate technical challenges using sound engineering principles.Familiarity with the complete software lifecycle, including Requirements Management, Design, Implementation, Testing, and Integration.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.A passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous improvement.
