About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Service Engineer to join our Estates and Facilities team at Nottingham College. As a key member of our senior team, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and delivering a compliant maintenance service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the college's Planned Preventative Maintenance Contract to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Lead on decarbonisation projects to reduce our carbon footprint and improve sustainability.
  • Advise on electrical and mechanical matters across the department, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Manage remedial projects and capital projects to ensure timely completion and within budget.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a customer-focused maintenance service, responding to breakdowns and planned maintenance requests.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience of working in a mechanical/electrical maintenance environment within the industrial or commercial sector.
  • Proven track record of managing maintenance contracts and projects.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Subject expertise in electrical and mechanical services, with a willingness to work collaboratively and support colleagues.
