Position Overview:

As a Literacy Educator, you will be instrumental in delivering engaging and tailored educational experiences for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health complexities. Your role will involve:
  • Designing and implementing individualized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Fostering a stimulating and purposeful learning environment that encourages participation and interest.
  • Conducting assessments to evaluate educational attainment and setting challenging yet achievable goals.
  • Building strong relationships with students to support their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare, plan, and assess educational sessions while staying informed about curriculum developments.
- Lead the teaching of flexible, person-centered study programs for individuals and groups.
- Demonstrate a hands-on approach to teaching, going above and beyond to support our students.

Essential Qualifications:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with prior experience in teaching English at a good or outstanding level.
- Knowledge of current educational practices and curriculum processes.
- Experience or interest in working within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting, particularly with students exhibiting challenging behaviors.
