About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Mirion Technologies UK. As a key member of our global company, you will play a crucial role in the development, analysis, and validation of Mechanical designs in accordance with product specification and project scope.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and lead a team of Mechanical Engineers to drive innovation and improvement in engineering processes.
  • Provide high-quality oversight of mechanical discipline, including administrative requirements.
  • Lead mechanical aspects of Design reviews with internal and external customers.
  • Design and integrate mechanical systems with other design specialties.
  • Create accurate part and assembly models, and design verification and functional testing.
  • Generate reports, calculations, test procedures, manuals, and master data within our ERP system.
  • Provide peer checks within the design release process.
Requirements
  • Qualified to a minimum degree level in a relevant field.
  • Strong experience of 'hands-on' mechanical design and development using 2D and 3D CAD software.
  • Good appreciation for electrical and electronic technologies.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to review and work with stakeholders to prioritize workload.
  • Up-to-date relevant knowledge of engineering and industry best practice.
  • Experience in Nuclear and High Temperature applications.
