Job Title: Associate Planning Director

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Associate Planning Director to join their dynamic team in York. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth and success.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in senior planning roles, ideally with private sector experience. You will be responsible for leading high-profile projects, mentoring junior staff, generating new business opportunities, and collaborating with architects, planners, and designers across the company's offices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on high-profile projects across the private sector, from land promotion to city centre regeneration.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of staff, offering guidance and support.
  • Generate new business opportunities while maintaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Collaborate with architects, planners, and designers across the company's offices, outsourcing when necessary.
  • Drive the long-term development of the business with plenty of opportunity for growth.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a senior planning role, ideally with private sector experience.
  • Planning degree or masters.
  • MRTPI status.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage projects and generate new business.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Passionate and ambitious, with a desire to grow with the company.
