Job Title: Finance Audit Co-ordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Audit Co-ordinator to join our Client Money Audit team at The Ardonagh Group.

About the Role

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity to work as a Co-ordinator, reporting to our Client Money Audit Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful completion of external annual audits within a client money environment within agreed timescales.

This is a home-based role with occasional travel required to Leeds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Client Money & statutory audits across Ardonagh Advisory, including management and stakeholder updates, collation and review of evidence, and agreement of action plans.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal management and external auditors on audit progression to ensure agreed due dates are met.
  • Coordinate the completion of samples by their respective due date.
  • Collate and review evidence before communicating to internal and external auditors.
  • Fulfil your responsibilities in line with agreed processes to achieve agreed objectives and ensure compliance with the client and insurer money rules as per FCA Client Asset Sourcebook.
Requirements
  • Experience in a finance environment within a regulated finance services organisation, ideally insurance, preferably a large complex corporate environment or knowledge and experience of CASS 5.
  • Audit experience.
  • CASS 5 knowledge is preferable but not essential.
  • MS Excel to at least an intermediate level.
  • Experience of general ledger accounting systems.
  • Analytical and investigative skills, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills – individually and collaboratively.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation through identification of process inefficiencies and reduction of exceptions/errors.
  • Strong communication skills across all mediums as you will be communicating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
