Position Overview
This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of innovative commercial vehicle technologies within a vibrant and collaborative start-up atmosphere. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering cutting-edge, safe, and compliant products to international markets. Your work will involve cross-departmental collaboration to establish requirements, guide applications, ensure quality assurance, and achieve timely certifications for all designated projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the initiatives and priorities of the Government & Regulatory team.
- Identify, document, and convey certification and safety criteria for assigned projects and target markets.
- Work closely with design and engineering teams to enhance understanding of certification standards through application and interpretation.
- Accurately document certification evidence for all assigned projects.
- Facilitate interactions with domestic and international regulatory bodies, approval authorities, technical services, and industry organizations.
- Develop and manage certification and homologation testing plans to ensure timely certifications for global markets.
- Stay informed on new global regulations and ensure team awareness and comprehension.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in U.S. certification and/or product safety sectors.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
- Experience in negotiating and collaborating with both external and internal stakeholders.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Capability to clarify technical regulatory requirements for stakeholders at all levels.
- Willingness to travel as necessary to support certification testing.
