We are seeking a skilled Class 2 Skip Driver to join our team at The Mick George Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating a Class 2 skip lorry, ensuring the safe transportation of waste and materials to our sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Hold a valid Category C driving license and possess a Digital Tachograph card and Drivers Qualification card.
- Be fully aware of the rules of the road and regulations specified in the Highway Code and adhere to them at all times.
- Have sound knowledge of Road Transport Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours Regulations and abide by them.
- Complete and record comprehensive pre-use and end of shift defect checks.
- Continuously check the roadworthiness of your vehicle and report any defects found.
- Ensure loads are secure in line with the vehicle safe system of work before leaving site.
- Adhere to site-specific rules at all times and maintain a high standard of vehicle cleanliness.
- Contribute to delivering best-in-class customer service and maintain a good relationship with customers.
- Demonstrate a safe, economic, and defensive driving style at all times.
- On-target earnings circa £40,000 per annum plus performance-related bonuses.
- Annual leave entitlement of 28 days inclusive of Bank Holidays per annum.
- Driver CPC Training.
- Full company uniform.
- Internal training and opportunities for progression.
