Position SummaryAs the Director of Catastrophe Analysis, you will play a pivotal role in our European Operations Division. Your expertise will position you as a key advisor to the management team, guiding them through the complexities of catastrophe implications. This senior position demands a high level of technical proficiency, utilizing advanced models to evaluate the potential impacts of natural disasters while identifying opportunities for optimization.
You will report directly to the Global Head of CAT accumulation management, taking responsibility for overseeing the division's catastrophe accumulation strategies and ensuring alignment with group objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic advice on catastrophe accumulation initiatives to divisional leadership.
- Lead the catastrophe accumulation management efforts for the European Operations.
- Manage the catastrophe modelling process, ensuring effective analysis workflows, including data collection and interpretation from various stakeholders.
- Monitor and assess catastrophe exposures to adhere to corporate capacity standards.
- Facilitate catastrophe reinsurance placements and support pricing strategies for insurance products.
- Develop precise forecasts of catastrophe exposure to aid in financial planning and resource allocation.
- Proven experience in leading teams effectively.
- Strong understanding of the insurance sector with a background in catastrophe modelling.
- Ability to distill complex information into clear, concise narratives.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in financial planning processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel, along with familiarity with programming tools such as SQL.
