About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Hardware and Software team in our Livingston office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the core technology and activities of the functional engineering team within Plexus Engineering Solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Execution: Ensure technical success of programs by understanding customer needs, staffing programs with appropriate resourcing, and driving continuous improvement of tools and processes.
  • Talent Acquisition and Development: Expand and grow technical and leadership competencies by hiring diverse and high-potential talent that enhances our people, product, and process capabilities.
  • Responsible to exemplify and hold the team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values. Leader will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.
  • Cost Management: Drive non-billable hours optimization (NBHO), minimizing administrative tasks, and maximizing value-add activities within the functional team.
  • Project Management: Effectively manage team resources and lead company projects and/or PLXS-ENG customer projects to successful execution.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required; a Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Seven (7) years of related experience is required; two (2) or more years of equivalent industry experience is preferred.
  • Two (2) years of Project Management experience, and two (2) years' experience with Plexus (or equivalent service industry) is preferred.
