Lecturer in GCSE English and Functional Skills

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer in GCSE English and Functional Skills to join our team at West Thames College. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students, as well as contributing to the development of our curriculum and assessment strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver GCSE English and Functional Skills courses to students, using a range of teaching methods and resources.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and colleagues.
- Contribute to the development of our curriculum and assessment strategies, ensuring that they are aligned with national standards and requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of our college's policies and procedures.
- Relevant teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed) and experience of teaching GCSE English and Functional Skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues and external partners.
- Ability to use a range of teaching methods and resources to engage students and promote learning.
- Knowledge of national standards and requirements for GCSE English and Functional Skills.
