We are seeking a highly skilled Group Accountant to join our Central Finance team as a Financial Reporting Specialist. This role will focus on producing high-quality financial reports and ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Produce the Group's consolidated monthly management accounts and finance pack, including comprehensive analysis, variances to budget and forecasts, and raising issues on a timely basis.
- Payroll and Share-Based Payments: Produce monthly management accounts for payroll costs across the Group and share-based payments, including detailed balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring full integrity of the balance sheet.
- Tax and Audit: Liaise with the tax team and advisors on all share-based payment schemes and provide accurate information on a timely basis. Liaise with group auditors and ensure subsidiary audits are progressing in line with the reporting timetable and confirm key deadlines are met.
- Financial Control: Contribute to a robust end-to-end Financial Control framework, implementing appropriate fully documented procedures, processes, and controls. Identify and provide effective solutions for continual process improvement, driving automation of processes.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Prepare a draft monthly forecast and annual budget for group payroll and share-based payments, including valuation of new schemes. Assist in managing and collating the annual consolidated Group budget and five-year plan and associated reporting packs.
- CAPEX and Expenses: Responsible for CAPEX and expenses system across the Group.
- Ad-Hoc Projects: Lead on ad-hoc project work with the Reporting team.
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with post-qualification experience.
- Working in a PLC/Stock Exchange Listed company.
- Audit background in practice.
