About the Role
Mitie is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Cleaner. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional cleaning services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake all necessary training to deliver high-quality cleaning services.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals.
- Adhere to Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain the designated area to a high standard of cleanliness, completing daily, weekly, and periodic tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
- Ensure the service is delivered efficiently and effectively, meeting all Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Report any maintenance requirements identified during cleaning tasks.
- Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well-maintained, and in a safe working order.
- Maintain security protocols, including locking doors and following lost property procedures.
- Have a thorough knowledge of the designated cleaning area, including the agreed work specification and time allocated to facilities.
- Be familiar with all cleaning equipment, materials, and approved chemicals used by Mitie.
- Set a good example in terms of dress, behavior, punctuality, and attendance.
- Ensure all Safeguarding Policies are adhered to and raise any concerns in line with the Mitie policy.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ensure contractors and external visitors comply with security and health and safety protocols while on school premises.
- Build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
Requirements
- Cleaning experience is preferred, but training can be provided.
- Reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.
- Ability to work to a schedule and as part of a team.
- Capable of working to their own initiative where appropriate.
- Be open and honest.
- Be self-driven and determined.
- Strive for continuous improvements in service delivery.
