About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Royal Museums Greenwich. As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain all areas of the Museum, including public and staff toilets, floors, doors, lifts, staircases, kitchens, and tea stations.
  • Empty bins, handle chemicals and cleaning agents, and replenish consumable items as required.
  • Use industrial cleaning equipment, such as buffing machines and scrubber dryers, to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Undertake deep cleans as required and report any sightings of pests, damage, or wear and tear.
  • Follow and implement health and safety regulations and demonstrate excellent customer care skills.
Requirements
  • Ability to carry out the physical aspects of the role, including lifting and bending.
  • Confidence to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Good communication skills.
Working Hours

This role operates on a rota pattern, working 17.5 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays. Shifts are 3.5 hours and are generally worked between 7am and 10:30am. Some flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business, and occasional overtime may be offered.
