Key Purpose of the Role
To effectively install fire detection and alarm systems. It is advantageous if the candidate can also install door access control, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation of both conventional and analogue addressable fire alarm systems to a high standard of workmanship.
  • Installation of intruder access control and CCTV systems to a high standard of workmanship (preferred).
  • Execution of small works for all types of life safety systems.
  • The incumbent will possess an understanding of regulatory fair trading and competition rules relevant to their work, ensuring compliance either through personal knowledge or by recognizing the need for specialist support.
  • Consistently support company policy and best practices in security, with a focus on safeguarding sensitive customer information.
  • Implement and adhere to the organization's information security policies.
  • Protect assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference.
  • Carry out specific security processes or activities as directed by management.
  • Report security incidents or potential risks to the organization.
  • Understand client needs and fulfill all job requirements effectively.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
  • Strong background and knowledge in Fire Security.
  • Willingness to travel for work when necessary.
  • Excellent first-time resolution and risk management skills.
  • Outstanding communication abilities.
  • A proven track record in fire engineering.
  • Experience in service repair work.
  • Familiarity with conventional and addressable fire systems across various manufacturers' equipment.
  • Good installation practices.
  • Knowledge of integrating detection systems into other disciplines is a significant advantage.
  • Understanding of BS5839 is essential.
  • Valid driving license.
  • FIA commissioning accreditations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • FIA Modules held by the applicant, such as FD&A Advanced Installer and FD&A Advanced Designer.
  • Experience with VESDA and other aspirating manufacturers is desirable.
  • Electrical background.

Training
Further development training will be provided to the suitable candidate.
