About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Science Tutor to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a Science Tutor, you will work one-to-one with students, creating tailored lesson plans to bridge gaps in their education and boost engagement and attainment levels.

Our mission at Prospero Teaching is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We are looking for Science Tutors who are passionate about working with children and young people with diverse learning needs, using a creative, flexible, and holistic approach to raise attainment and improve their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver one-to-one tailored lessons to students, focusing on bridging gaps in their education and improving engagement and attainment levels.
  • Work with students with a variety of learning needs, using a creative and flexible approach to support their learning.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement effective lesson plans and strategies to support student progress.
  • Provide regular feedback and progress updates to students, parents, and our team.
Requirements
  • Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Possess UK classroom teaching experience.
  • Be creative, patient, and willing to think outside the box.
  • Have experience working with students with SEND or disengaged pupils.
  • Hold a right to work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.

  • A competitive hourly rate of GBP25-GBP30, depending on experience and qualifications.
