Sphere Solutions is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team in Exeter. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering complete building solutions to our clients across the South West.
Key Responsibilities:- Tender preparation, including reviewing specifications and preparing costs
- Cost breakdowns of labour, material, plant, and subcontract quotes
- Budget management, including monitoring project costs and variations
- Project delivery, ensuring compliance with contract specifications
- Programming, including project time scales, labour, and materials
- Client liaison, serving as the main point of contact for clients
- Quality Control, ensuring work meets QA and building regulations standards
- Health & Safety, ensuring all projects adhere to HSE standards
- Proven track record of contracts management and estimating, ideally in minor works (£50,000 - £1m)
- Relevant construction qualification, along with SMSTS and CSCS certification
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts (JCT/NEC), and building regulations
- Excellent commercial acumen and analytical skills for estimating and budgeting
- Strong leadership skills to manage site teams and subcontractors
- DBS/SC clearance and a full driving license
