Position:
Mechanical Systems Technician / Mechanical Fitter - Shifts

Compensation:
£46,400 annually, with additional overtime at standard rate, along with benefits and career advancement opportunities.

Work Schedule:
Week 1: Days (Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm), Week 2: Nights (Sunday - Thursday 7pm - 5am)

A fantastic permanent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Systems Technician to become part of a skilled and dedicated team within a dynamic, heavy industrial production setting.

This role presents an excellent chance for the Mechanical Technician to enhance their expertise and skills through structured training while collaborating with a proactive team of mechanical professionals.

As a member of the mechanical maintenance team, you will perform scheduled preventative maintenance on a diverse array of machinery utilized in production operations.


Ideally, the Mechanical Systems Technician will possess experience or be willing to learn how to operate safely and efficiently within a heavy industrial context.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience as a Mechanical Systems Technician, Maintenance Fitter, or Mechanical Service Engineer.
  • Possession of at least Level 3 Engineering qualifications; a completed engineering apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Drive Chains, Bearings, Seals, Grinding, Arc/MIG Welding, and control systems.
  • Capability to perform essential maintenance, including the installation of new machinery.
  • Ability to utilize and contribute to the improvement of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Strong understanding and appreciation of Health & Safety regulations, ensuring compliance with machine safety standards.
