About this Role

This is a key position in the Finance Team at Corporate Travel Management (CTM) UK, responsible for managing the financial operations related to Meetings and Events. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with experience in working within a ledger environment and delivering exceptional service to operational and commercial business teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Meetings and Events operational management team to understand commercial expectations and prepare budgets.
  • Raise deposit invoices for pre-payment from clients and ensure timely cash receipt and allocation.
  • Process supplier invoices and reconcile to client invoicing, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Perform full reconciliation of all events within agreed timelines and issue client final invoices for balancing payments.
  • Invoice commission on event completion and collect payments in accordance with agreed terms.
  • Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of project profitability and balance sheet values.
  • Deal with financial queries from clients and suppliers, negotiating settlements as required.
  • Allocate costs and revenue to the correct project, either manually or using system coding.
Requirements
  • Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience in a similar-sized organisation.
  • Experience working within a ledger environment, including Purchase or Sales ledger.
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills, with experience using Microsoft products.
  • Ability to perform financial reconciliations and use an accounting ledger or mid-office system.
  • Strong attention to detail and a controlled approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with non-Finance employees.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and improving finance procedures and work instructions an advantage.
  • Travel industry experience an advantage.
