Discover is seeking a highly skilled Back End Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative software solutions. As a key player in our Agile environment, you will be responsible for technical design, coding with test automation, and documentation of software application modifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical initiatives
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and reuse
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve overall code quality
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues to ensure delivery of high-quality software

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Java
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and OpenShift
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, including Agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Java 8, Spring Boot, and domain-driven design
  • Knowledge of RESTful web services, JSON, and design patterns
  • Experience with high availability and scalability design, performance monitoring, and messaging systems
  • Skills in multi-threaded and synchronization applications
