An exciting opportunity has arisen to join MGF's Structural Support Solutions business as a Technical Sales Representative for the South West of England.

MGF is a market leader in the design, manufacture, hire, and sale of temporary works equipment for the construction industry. With over 440 staff and 14 locations nationwide, we offer a unique combination of in-house engineering, manufacturing, and logistics capabilities.

Our Structural Support Solutions business provides engineering support and hire of specialist equipment to temporarily support existing and new structures during construction and refurbishment. We are seeking an experienced sales professional to join our team and drive the growth of this exciting area of the business.

The Role

As a Technical Sales Representative, you will work closely with our Structural Support Solutions sales team to promote our market-leading UniShore product range and deliver exceptional customer service. You will identify new projects and customers, conduct site visits to consult and provide safe, cost-effective structural support solutions, and build sustainable relationships with new and existing customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and growing the Structural Support business in the South West area in line with the business strategy.
  • Working collaboratively with consulting engineers and customers throughout the construction process to promote the UniShore range and secure profitable business.
  • Delivering profitable growth within the assigned territory through development of orders from both new and existing customers, with equal focus on account management and project management.
  • Ensuring high levels of customer service are maintained when working outside of assigned territory.
Requirements

We are looking for an experienced sales professional with a technical background and a passion for civil engineering and construction. Key requirements include:

  • Experience within the construction technical sales industry, preferably in temporary works.
  • Technical qualification/experience in solution-based sales.
  • The ability to read drawings and understand the construction process.
  • The ability to sell the solution, not the process, and build long-term relationships.
  • Territory planning and customer management experience.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • A good team player who can build relationships both internally and externally.
