About The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Salvation Army Homes. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring our residential building, furniture, and equipment are well-maintained through planned maintenance and daily repairs.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a planned maintenance program to ensure our facilities are well-maintained and safe for residents.
  • Identify and address necessary repairs, including cleaning, decoration, and plumbing.
  • Oversee repairs and maintenance tasks personally or through contractors, ensuring high-quality work and timely completion.
  • Transport items locally, including repair materials and furniture, as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Display empathy towards our client group and demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Capable of performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
  • Proficient in using repair equipment safely and effectively.
  • Good diagnostic skills to identify and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Effective time management to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
