Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and be able to provide expert advice and guidance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on all aspects of employment law, including day-to-day employment advice and contentious matters such as Employment Tribunal claims.
  • Draft and respond to claims, witness statements, and advocacy at the preliminary hearing stage.
  • Give day-to-day employment and HR advice by telephone and in writing to managers, HR, and senior executives/Board level.
  • Draft contracts, policies, and other employment-related documentation.
  • Advising on disciplinary and grievance matters, and conducting investigations.
  • Conducting negotiations and drafting settlement agreements.
  • Experience of conducting training for clients and supervising more junior fee earners would also be beneficial, as would a strong focus on building client relationships and business development.

Requirements

  • Experience of most of the following:
  • Employment Tribunal litigation, including drafting and responding to claims, witness statements, and advocacy (at the preliminary hearing stage at a minimum).
