About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Engineer to join our team at National Grid. As a Restoration Expert, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and resilience of our electricity system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain probabilistic models to predict and mitigate potential system failures
  • Collaborate with industry stakeholders to develop and implement restoration strategies
  • Provide technical expertise to support the development of new generation technologies and network connections
  • Lead the development and maintenance of our Electricity System Restoration Standard
  • Represent National Grid at external forums and groups, promoting our expertise and capabilities
Requirements
  • Electrical Engineer or degree in a STEM subject
  • Power Systems and Restoration Knowledge
  • Experience with data handling, IT skills, and modelling
  • Simulation experience
