About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled RF Communications Engineer to join our team in Gloucester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing RF communications systems for various Defence, Cyber, and Intelligence programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake detailed analysis of RF systems, including vulnerability analysis and test and measurement of equipment under test.
  • Design and development of bespoke research tools to enable complex analysis.
  • Support the development of mission systems through lab-based testing and verification with the potential for field trial support.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in RF communications implementation/analysis.
  • Knowledge of RF algorithm development and Digital Signal Processing.
  • Embedded systems vulnerability analysis.

Knowledge of the following would be beneficial:

  • Real-time test and measurement using vector signal analysers.
  • GnuRadio or OpenCPI.
  • Software defined radios.
  • Python and/or C/C++.
  • Development on Linux and use of GitLab.
