Role Profile

As a Manufacturing Engineering Apprentice, you will be based within our 600+ person Supply Chain, at our Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham site. Throughout your 4-year apprenticeship, you will complete your HNC/D study at Gloucestershire Engineering Training, located in Gloucester.

These learnings are underpinned with Electrical Digital and Mechanical principles. You will also have the opportunity to build your network and develop soft skills, with access to mentors and employee-run networks.

Apprenticeship Overview

Year 1 and 2: You will start your study, attending classes and completing tasks, assignments, and projects based on the teaching. You will also receive a focused 3-month training program at the education center, gaining practical skills required for life in the role.

Year 3 and 4: You will complete your HND study and spend the entire year within a Manufacturing Engineering Team, aligning yourself to a business area that is of interest to you and where GE feels your talents will be best aligned.

Requirements
  • 4 GCSE's (or equivalent), including Maths, English at grades C/4 or above
  • Level 3 qualification (BTEC, T-Level or equivalent) in Engineering / Manufacturing, OR 3 A-Levels (or equivalent), including Maths or Engineering, at grades C or above

Please note, any offer of employment is conditional on successfully passing an entry exam with GET.
